The 2007 Hire Ability Day Luncheon was a great success!

The Hire Ability Day Luncheon is an opportunity for employers who value diversity to come together with other employers who have hired people with developmental disabilities and their employees. The luncheon features local and national speakers addressing the issue of reaching out to an under utilized, qualified workforce. Special guests at the luncheon have included Senator Lisa Brown, Representatives Timm Ormsby and John Ahern, Spokane Mayor Dennis Hession and Spokane County Commissioner Mark Richard.

Keynote speaker for the 2007 luncheon was Bret Stewart from Centertwist Inc., Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Seattle, who talked about his experience hiring persons with developmental disabilities. Prevous speakers have represented a large manufacturing firm from Georgia, and Cinncinati Children's Hospital.
