Morning on the Job is a great way to find out how someone with developmental disabilities might be able to work in your business.

You can be a part of the excitement in 2012 and tap into a new source of productivity, efficiency, creativity, and loyalty. Contact us at least one month before the event, and we will put you in touch with job coaches and participants.

14 employers welcomed participants to their business for Morning on the Job experiences. Those businesses included:

Participants

  • 14 individuals with diverse work skills participated on the Morning on the Job experience.
  • 36 individuals with developmental disabilities attended the luncheon.
  • 250 business leaders, employers, employees, supporters, and individuals with developmental disabilities attended the Hire Ability Day luncheon at The Davenport Hotel.

Special guests included:

  • Event chairpersons District Manager for area Safeway stores, Brian Kingsbury, and Director of Mobius Kids Children's Museum, Marty Gonzales

 We are seeking businesses to host a Morning on the Job experiences for one or more individuals with a developmental disability for 2012. Participants will meet your employees and learn about projects or jobs suited to their skills. Participants will be appropriately matched to your workplace and accompanied by a job coach. The experience will last two to three hours.
